Popularly known as Tortin, the itinerary that leads underneath the Col de Chassoure gondola consists mainly of one vast mogul field. Considered one of the most difficult runs in the “4 Vallées” ski area, it benefits from a north-facing slope, shaded from the sun, usually with good, grippy snow. The official marked route leads down the steepest section, and requires excellent technique as well as steady nerves. The run becomes gradually shallower before reaching an easy prepared piste all the way down to the gondola base station. In all, an exhilarating challenge, even for advanced skiers!
