Lonza group is a company active in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry. Since 1909, Visp (Viège) has been home to the group's activities on a site that is constantly developing and expanding. The Valais-based company currently employs around 5,000 people, including 250 apprentices.

RegionAlps SA

RegionAlps SA is a Valais-based railway company founded in 2003. Its network extends over 146 kilometres and handles almost 9 million passengers annually. The company employs 70 people and generates almost 100 indirect jobs in the canton.

Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn

The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn operates in the heart of the Alps on a 144-kilometre-long railway network with a total height difference of 3,300 metres. It has a large fleet of 378 vehicles (locomotives and wagons) and employs around 700 people in various fields.
