Bikepark St-Luc

Adrenalin rush guaranteed: Three different trails and over 500 metres difference in altitude. The St-Luc Bike Park in Val d’Anniviers offers maximum fun for professionals and amateurs alike. Wooden ramps, banked corners and jumps feature along the trails with a total length of 7 kilometres. The bike park in St-Luc has three trails of varying degrees of difficulty. Each starts next to the top station of the cable car and finishes at the bottom station. Bikers will encounter steep curves and wooden elements along the way, guaranteeing fun for everyone.

In 2020, renovation work was undertaken on St-Luc’s large bisse which has been recorded since 1593. The start of the route is either at the Achelli parking lot, or the Bella-Tola postal stop. Head for the centre of the village of St-Luc and the church, then follow the signs behind the historical Maison Bourgeoisiale. Take the Tsarirre path for 200 metres and then the Fortoûna road for 400 metres, before turning right and ascending for about 80 metres. From there, let yourself be guided by the peaceful trickling of the water running through the forests, meadows and mayens. On the way back, pass by the Prilet B&B, before crossing the old village of St-Luc and reaching the starting point of your loop.

This hike enables you to cross the solar system on foot! The distances between the heavenly bodies are to scale: each metre walked is equivalent to a million kilometres in reality. The sun and nine planets line the route from Tignousa to the Hotel Weisshorn, with the breath-taking panorama of Valais’s finest four-thousanders accompanying you all the way.

Bread from the village oven cannot be compared with conventional farmhouse bread, rustic bread or even white bread; the bread of Saint-Luc is most likely different from that of the other mountain villages, and it is certainly very different from the rye bread which is sold in modern bakeries. A bread that is out of this world... Come to Saint-Luc and bake your own rye bread according to a family recipe which has been passed down from generation to generation, and which each family uses to this day once a year to bake their own bread in the village oven. You will be initiated into the final secret of this regional tradition, and will be allowed to take part in the preparation of this famous bread according to the Saint-Luc recipe: a bread with unique ingredients and a taste which is unlike any other. The Bread Trail and rye bread baking in the village oven of Saint-Luc make a good combination.

Anniviers Touring Tracks

Five ski touring itineraries complete the Val d'Anniviers winter offer in the St-Luc/Chandolin ski area.. Ski touring enthusiasts can thus enjoy 27 kilometres of marked trails with a total elevation gain of more than 4000m! The Rando Parc is open to all levels, thanks to its touring tracks with different levels of difficulty: 2 blue trails (easy), 2 red (intermediate) and 1 black (difficult). The routes are maintained and sponsored by various local associations and two well-known athletes: Florent Troillet, former world champion and record-holder for the 2010 Patrouille des Glaciers, and Maximilien Drion, winner of the Petite Patrouille des Glaciers in 2018.

Located in a quiet and charming place next to the forest, the St-luc's skating rink will satisfy every skater. Several events are organized during winter and you absolutely have to try out the Curl'Charlette, a special curling game. It is freely accessible, unsupervised and is lit until 9pm. Possibility to rent skates in the sports stores of the Val d'Anniviers.

Prilet piste

The Prilet piste is regarded as one of the finest runs in the Val d’Anniviers and boasts clear views of the “Couronne impériale”, the “imperial crown” of 4,000-metre peaks that frame the end of the valley. The descent begins at the panoramic peak of Bella Tola (3,025 m). Of medium difficulty with an average gradient of 7 per cent, the run extends for 6.2 kilometres to the hamlet of Prilet (1,655 m) at the edge of the St-Luc ski area.

St-Luc/Chandolin - Area St-Luc

The St-Luc/Chandolin skiing area stretches from 1650 to 3000 metres above sea level and offers magnificent views of the Couronne Impériale with its 4000-metre peaks. Nature-lovers are exuberant at the exceptional snow conditions and authentic atmosphere. The ski area comprises 60 km of slopes, including a snow park right by the Tignousa ski lift. At the Swiss Snow Kids’ Village, budding champions aged under five are introduced to the joys of skiing by specially trained instructors. The resort offers a drag lift and a magic carpet, giving children their first experience of winter sports.
