Description

This path located near the ski area is punctuated by the representations of the solar system’s planets. On the way to, you will enjoy a breathtaking view of the valley and its summits. The highlight of this hike is the Hotel Weisshorn, one of the pearls of the valley. Have a drink on the panoramic terrace of this historic hotel. After a well-deserved break, you will enjoy the view on the way back to the Funicular.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the village of St-Luc go by Funicular to Tignousa, where the ski resort starts. Head towards the Hotel Weisshorn on a flat groomed path. Start by walking to the François-Xavier Bagnoud Observatory, located 100 metres to the right of the Funicular. Then follow the Chemin des Planètes leading to the Hotel Weisshorn for about 1 hour and 40 minutes.

Getting there
Information

Public transport

You can easily reach St-Luc by Postbus from Sierre. Get off at the stop "St-Luc, Bella Tola". Cross the village to the departure station of the Funicular and go up to Tignousa.

Approach

Take the A9 motorway towards Sierre, exit at Sierre-Est, direction Val d'Anniviers. In Vissoie, follow the sign "St-Luc/Chandolin".

Parking

Several parking places are available in the village and nearby the Funicular.
