The Conthey region, consisting of the municipalities of Ardon, Conthey and Vétroz, is situated at the heart of Valais, close to the town of Sion. Numerous bisses and hiking paths cross an untamed natural landscape, such as that of the Derborence Valley. Its geographical location favours a host of cultural and sporting activities that can be enjoyed in both summer and winter.
Thanks to its climate and long hours of sunshine, 22% of all vineyards in Valais are to be found in Les Coteaux du Soleil, making it the largest winemaking area in the region. True viticultural pearls, such as Amigne, the flagship wine from Vétroz, are produced here each year.
