Description

From the village of Daillon, begin your ride with a gentle climb before a descent along a magnificent singletrack trail specially created for mountain bikers with banked corners offering a flowing and exhilarating ride. Midway along the tour, you will find a barbecue site, ideal for a picnic. This tour can be combined with the Code Tour at the level of the Mayens de Conthey and the village of Daillon.

Turn-by-turn directions

Starting from the village of Daillon, this varied route mainly follows forest tracks and singletrack trails, and leads along the Bisse de la Tsandra irrigation channel for 6.5 kilometres. A special descent has been created over a distance of one kilometer to separate mountain bikers from hikers, consisting of a singletrack trail with banked turns. This section is also accessible by handbike. The rest of the descent likewise includes singletrack stretches.

Train to Sion, then postal bus from Sion station to Daillon.

Train to Châteauneuf, then postal bus from Châteauneuf to Daillon.

Approach

Motorway A9 until exit 25 Conthey, then follow in the direction of Daillon.

Parking

Parking available on Place de la Vella. 

Equipment

We recommend: a bike in excellent working order, a helmet, gloves and a bell, clothing suitable for the weather (always carry a waterproof), food and drink.
