ViaSbrinz - A Swiss cheese conquers the south

Milk, rennet, salt and time – a long time, five years, perhaps. This is the recipe used for generations in central Switzerland to make cheese. The cheese now known as Sbrinz was already a hit in northern Italy back in the Middle Ages. The big round cheeses were one of the main reasons why the mule track over the Grimsel and Gries passes developed into an important trade route. Old paths full of character and unparalleled mountain scenery make hiking the ViaSbrinz an unforgettable experience.
