Why they are certified
Valais-label certified wines are made from grapes grown in Valais and vinified in the canton. Based on 13 sustainability criteria, the certification particularly values indigenous grape varieties, organic methods and environmentally friendly practices.

Valais is Switzerland's largest wine-growing region. With over 4,800 hectares of vineyards, it produces around a third of Swiss wine and is home to a unique mosaic of grape varieties and terroirs.
