Between 6 October and 15 November 2025, trains between Martigny and Les Marécottes will be replaced by buses due to construction work.
Between 16 November and 29 March 2026, the Martigny-Vernayaz route will also be served by buses. From Vernayaz MC, trains will run as normal on the route.

Return journey on the Mont-Blanc Express panoramic train between Martigny and Chamonix (departure from Martigny).

A link between the plains and the mountains, the Mont Blanc Express has connected Martigny to Chamonix for more than a century.

Along the way, there are some iconic places worth visiting, such as the Marécottes Alpine Zoo, the gorges in the Salvan region (Triège, Trient, Dailley) and the world's steepest ski lifts at VerticAlp at the foot of the Emosson dam.
