Les Haudères

The area was first mentioned in historical records in 1250. Its first hotel was built in 1870. The traditional folk costumes (trachten) can still be seen at the summer artisanal market. Les Haudères is surrounded by lush Arolla pine forests and colourful flowery meadows. The two Borgnes meet here: the Borgne de Ferpècle from the southeast and Borgne d’Arolla from the southwest. The vacation site is an ideal base for climbers. It is in close proximity to the glaciers of several 4000-metre peaks bordering Italy.
