Albert Mathier and Sons is a family business in the heart of the wine-producing village of Salgesch whose ultimate aim is to bring great pleasure to wine lovers. The experience and tradition it has built up and cultivated since 1928 allow it to present wine lovers with an unforgettable experience in its traditional carnotzet wine cellar or unique amphorium. The family’s 30 hectares of vineyards are cultivated under the expert guidance of Amédée. Thanks to its pioneering spirit, in 2006 the estate became the first in Switzerland to produce a wine that satisfies UNESCO World Cultural Heritage standards and is home to wine that lies buried in the soil awaiting discovery in large clay amphorae, known as kvevris.
