Fondation Rainer Maria Rilke

A beautiful house from the 18th century is the home of the Fondation Rilke in Sierre. It was founded in 1986 in honour of the poet of Austrian origin who fell in love with Valais. The foundation manages a museum, a library and an archive. It also organises conferences and readings. As an important documentation centre, it attracts many researchers who come to study the author. On request, tours “In the steps of Rilke”, with a full programme in honour of the poet are organised.
