Sierre region

Famous for its excellent wines, the Sierre region includes the villages of Sierre, Salgesch, St-Léonard, Venthône, Chippis, Grône, Miège and Veyras. Sierre is also known as "the city of sunshine" and hosts numerous events such as the VINEA wine fair. The Meyer House in Sierre and the Zumofen House in the wine village of Salgesch together form the Vine and Wine Museum and are linked by the 6km-long educational wine trail. Salgesch is also the gateway to the Pfyn-Finges Nature Park. In addition to the numerous vineyards, St-Léonard is also home to the largest underground lake in Europe.
