Charrat

The village of Charrat is located on the southern side of the Rhone Valley between Martigny and Saxon. Charrat merged with the municipality of Martigny at the beginning of 2021. Charrat is best known for its spring adonis, a flower that only grows in Valais and blooms in April. The best way to discover these unique flowers is to take the Adonis Trail, which leads from Saxon over a hill called "Vison" to Charrat. Another highlight in the area is the Bisse de Guercet, which leads through the vineyards of Charrat through a shady forest to Martigny Bourg.
