Fort of Dailly

Set at the foot of the Dent de Morcles, in a stunning location, with 2 kilometers of formerly TOP SECRET corridors, the fort of Dailly is one of the 3 major modern Swiss fortresses. Guided visits enable visitors to discover the life of the soldiers based here during the Cold War. The 15 cm and 10.5 cm artillery guns covered the north-south axis and the St Bernard and Simplon passes. The fort of Dailly is typical of the evolution of Swiss fortresses from 1892 to modern times. Visitors can also see the exterior defenses, set in a protected nature reserve.
