Torgon

Colloquially referred to as the “Chablais Balcony”, Torgon is a village situated high above the Lower Valais borough of Vionnaz. Torgon is part of Europe’s largest ski resort, the “Portes du Soleil”, organises the annual “Torgonabike” MTB race, and the official training site of the “Centre Mondial du Cyclism”. It also offers terrific views, not just to the Valais Alps and the neighbouring Waadt region; visitors can sometimes spot one of the local Moufflon herds. And speaking of animals: the Torgon stables provide a medium from which the area up to Ross can be explored.
