Pears

Why are they certified with the Valais brand?
Valais pears are grown and harvested in Valais according to strict quality and traceability criteria and sustainable practices. From fresh pears to brandy, each fruit is a tribute to local origin.

Did you know?
Until the 19th century, pears were the main fruit in Valais, consumed as a carbohydrate or dried. The introduction of the Williams variety at the beginning of the 20th century marked a turning point, particularly thanks to its use in distillation.

Why choose this product?
Whether served as a dessert or used in cooking, Valais pears are prized for their melt-in-the-mouth texture and refined flavour. They are also a local favourite for autumn recipes, homemade preserves and distilled delicacies.
