Description

This route leads from the village of Visperterminen along the marked trail towards Riedbach. Follow the waterway (bisse) until the viewpoint at Hüoterhüsi, a former water attendant's house. Take a moment to enjoy the fantastic panoramic view from here over the Rhone valley, stretching from Conches à Crans-Montana. Follow the signs back via Bodma to Visperterminen, well-known for its Païen wine.

This route begins in Visperterminen. Enjoy the “bisse” (ancient waterway) flowing peacefully through the forest, surrounded by chirping birds and unspoilt nature, and culminating in a wonderful view at Hüoterhüsi. From here, the trail leads back southwards, via Bodma and with a view of the Matterhorn, towards Visperterminen, famous for its Païen wine.

Public transport

Visperterminen can be reached easily from Visp using post bus 524. The hike begins from the bus terminus at Visperterminen.

Approach

Take the A9 motorway and cantonal road 9 to Visp. Follow the signs to Visperterminen and take Terbinerstrasse via Unterstalden and Oberstalden to Visperterminen.

There are a large number of public parking spots in the center of the village.
