Alpage de Mandelon

Nestled in the heart of Val d’Hérens, Mandelon is one of Valais’s largest and most beautiful alpine pastures. This natural haven will delight hikers, mountain bikers and fans of the great outdoors. Five former “chottes” (traditional alpine huts) have been fully renovated with dormitories, a lounge and a bathroom, inviting you to immerse yourself in the day-to-day lives of a farming family and to discover the local flora and fauna. Accessible throughout the winter with snowshoes or by ski touring, the snack bar offers a wonderful selection of homemade products and local specialities.
