Day 1 : Arrival in Zermatt
At the foot of the Matterhorn, a lively little town with countless restaurants awaits you. Enjoy the view of the most beautiful peak of the Alps.
Day 2 : Zermatt - Europahütte
Optionally, you can shorten your day by taking the funicular up to Sunnegga. The first stage offers a fascinating panorama, but it is not to be underestimated. A challenging high-altitude trail leads you high above the Mattertal to the longest suspension bridge in Europe. The Charles Kuonen suspension bridge offers imposing views of the massive peak of the Weisshorn. Immediately afterwards you will reach the Europahütte.

Day 3 : Europahütte - Grächen
Today's stage of the Europe Trail has been somewhat defused in recent years. Therefore, you are no longer hiking quite so high up. Nevertheless, there are still many kilometers to be covered today. At the end of the day, a charming mountain village awaits you in Grächen.

Day 4 : Grächen - Gruben
By bus to St. Niklaus and from here by cable car up to Jungen. The hamlet of Jungu towers like an eagle's nest above the deepest valley in Switzerland. Here you have a tremendous view of the Mischabel mountains and the mountain Dom. An old trade route leads you into the beautiful Turtmann Valley.

Day 5 : Gruben - Hotel Weisshorn
After yesterday's strenuous descent, today's hike is immediately steep again. The Meidpass is almost at 2'800 meters. Here you have an impressive view to the Bishorn and the Weisshorn. Overnight today is in the historic Hotel Weisshorn high above the Val d'Anniviers.

Day 6 : Hotel Weisshorn - Grimentz - Cabane des Becs de Bosson
Descent into the Val d'Anniviers along the Pointes de Nava. On the descent, you will once again have wonderful views of the Matterhorn. Arrived in Grimentz, take the cable car up to Bendolla and continue hiking to the Cabanne des Becs de Bosson. By now you have crossed the language border. In the Lower Valais, French is spoken by the majority.

Day 7 : Cabane des Becs de Bosson - Evolène I Departure or extension
A long descent into Val d'Herens concludes the hike. Passing the alps L’A Vieille and Volovron. The tour is idyllic. Over pastures and through forests you finally reach the small village of Evolène. After arrival in Evolène, bus ride to Sion and individual departure.
