Excursion on the Gornergrat in September and October
Climb aboard the cogwheel train which goes from the village of Zermatt to the Gornergrat, at an altitude of 3,100 metres, to admire the Matterhorn, Valais' most famous mountain, all year round.
Description
The cogwheel railway takes you from the village of Zermatt, at 1,600 metres, up to the Gornergrat at 3,100 metres above sea level. With an ongoing view of the Matterhorn, the ride is an experience in itself. And with mountains and glaciers as far as the eye can see, it is hard to tire of the panorama at the top.
