Bike transport

Nothing could be easier than travelling by public transport in Valais.
Thanks to more than 100 cableways (cable cars, chairlifts and funiculars) and countless bus and train routes, cyclists and mountain bikers have an infinite choice of possibilities for planning their outings and accessing the most beautiful spots in Valais.
Bus and train lines
To get around the canton's valleys with your mountain bike, there’s nothing easier than using the bus and train lines, which offer transport services for bikes of all kinds. During the summer months, from mid-May to mid-October, more than 40 bus routes can be used with a mountain bike, while the buses are equipped with bike racks or trailers for transporting two-wheelers. Special bike racks are also available on trains running throughout the Valais. As bicycle transport capacity is limited, we recommend reserving your place on the SBB mobile app or cff.ch.
