La Lée Copper
The mine is located above Zinal on the left bank of the Navizence, 1,937m above sea level. The hike from Zinal to the copper mine takes about 1.5 hours on foot. The site offers plenty in the way of historic, social and technical interest. You will find details on the history of mining and the adventures of the miners in the Alps. The tunnels extend 500 m into the mountain. Information boards tell you everything you could wish to know about the mining profession and explain how the Alps were created.
