Carnival Evolène
Every year, since the dawn of time, the region of Evolène vibrates at the rhythm of the Carnival from the "3 Kings day" to the " Mardi gras ". Strange figures such as the " Peluches " and the " Empaillés ", who come from Pagan rites, go around the villages of Evolène to frighten the bad spirits of winter. These traditions transmitted from generation to generation are also presented and explained through different activities organized by the inhabitants of the area. This period is also conducive to festivities in which the local population mingles with the hosts of passages in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
