Sirwoltesee

This clear mountain lake is surrounded by the fascinating mountain scenery in the Simplon region. It lies in a scree basin between the Galehorn in the north and the Böshorn in the south at an altitude of 2,411 metres. The lake can be reached on foot from the Simplon Pass, the Engeloch Postbus station or from Sirwoltesattel. Hikers will also pass an incredibly beautiful waterfall on the way up from the Simplon Pass. During the descent to the starting point, the view stretches over green alpine meadows, marshes and the historic Simplon hospice.
