Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn
The Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGBahn) is 144 km long and leads from Zermatt to Disentis and from Andermatt to Göschenen. It covers a difference in altitude of 3300m, passing through 33 tunnels and galleries and crossing 126 bridges and viaducts en route. The lowest point of the journey is Visp, at 625m, and the highest is the Oberalppass at 2033m. The two-, three- or five-day pass entitles you to free travel on the 728 km rail network, the PostalBus network in Upper Valais and on the BLS AG Brig - Kandersteg. It also provides 50% discount on numerous funiculars and cable cars, sports and recreational facilities. Armed with a Bike Ticket, you can embark on an exciting biking tour through the Goms or the valley of Visp, safe in the knowledge that if you get tired, you can hop back on the train and have a rest.
