Herens meat

Herens meat has the taste of authenticity. Cattle of the Herens breed (known locally as Hérens or Eringer) are bred in Valais, enjoy the fresh air of the high mountain pastures in summer, and feed on fodder from the farm in winter. The ageing time promises a high-quality meat full of flavour. The meat is sold by butchers and served in restaurants that are members of the association “Fleur d'Hérens, viande du Valais” (“Fleur d'Hérens, meat from Valais”).
