Elodie Comby-Cheseaux

... about her passion for apricots and her work at the Valais fruit and vegetable industry organization.

Elodie Comby Cheseaux got to know and love the world of fruit and vegetables, and apricots in particular, from an early age.

Her father made her aware of local consumption at an early age, which later led to her growing interest in issues such as the payment of producers and the use of synthetic pesticides in Valais orchards. After completing her studies and gaining her first professional experience outside the canton, the trained agricultural engineer returned to her original homeland. Today, as head of the ArboPhytoRed project, she is involved in the development of more sustainable production. In her father's plantations in Saillon, she tells us about her everyday life, her special relationship with Valais and her enthusiasm for the princess of the orchards.
