Maison Gilliard

Over the decades, the Gilliard estate in Sion has blossomed into a veritable wine sanctuary. Covering an area of 50 hectares, our vineyards are set against the magnificent backdrop of the Rhône Valley. Our estates are made up of a mosaic of terraces that extend from 550 to 680 metres in altitude. A landscape that practically defines Valais: a formerly hostile environment tamed by the passion of humankind. These special vineyards bear names such as Clos du Brûle-Fer and Clos du Mont, not forgetting Clos de Cochetta, perched above dry stone walls that can reach heights of up to 20 metres. Built in 1860 by monks from Savoy, a secret tunnel serves as the gateway.
