Media trip 2: Tavolata Fiesta

Dates: 22.-25 August 2024 (3 nights, 4 days) Participants: max. 6 journalists Destinations: Sierre – Leuk & Pfyn-Finges Nature Park Highlights: Indulge in an unforgettable sensorial experience from 22 to 25 August 2024 in Valais! Our press trip begins in Sierre-Salgesch, where you will receive a warm welcome at Hotel Arkanum. Join us for a wine tasting experience at a local winery, followed by a gourmet meal. On the second day, explore the region’s rich winemaking heritage with a guided tour of the Valais Wine and Vine Museum in Sierre, as well as wine tasting and raclette at Château de Villa. Follow it up with a hike to Salgesch and discover the Cave du Rhodan winery. Round off the evening in style with a tavolata, a social celebration of local cuisine. Media trip 3 : Via Francigena

Dates: 03.-07. September 2024 (4 nights, 5 days) Participants: max. 8 journalists Destinations: Saint-Maurice, Martigny & Pays du Saint-Bernard Highlights: Having just been appointed Archbishop of Canterbury, Sigeric the Serious had to travel to Rome through France and Switzerland to receive his investiture from the Pope. The oldest description of the ViaFrancigena dates from his return journey in 990. Today, the route is considered a "Great Cultural Route of the Council of Europe". With a total length of more than 3,000 kilometres divided into 79 stages, the ViaFrancigena crosses about 65 kilometres of Valais territory between St-Maurice and the Grand St. Bernard pass at an altitude of 2,450 metres. Along country roads, stone or grass paths winding through green meadows dotted with dense woods, mountain paths, along shimmering lakes, in the shade of fragrant pines, the crossing of the Valaisan Alps offers superb landscapes.
