European Record Vineyard

An educational trail leads from Visp to Visperterminen, situated at an altitude of 1,150 meters and better known as the “Heida Village”. The home of the typical Heida variety, known for its fruity and mineral intensity, is a very special place: here, in Europe’s highest continuous vineyard, whose steep terraces cover a difference in altitude of more than 500 meters, the warmth of the sun is captured by dry stone walls to produce magnificent vintages. Nature-lovers will also find numerous opportunities for idyllic walks here until the end of autumn.
