More than 300 years ago, the mule track over the Simplon was built by Kaspar Stockalper. It has long since given up its economic importance to the newer road. For some years now, however, it has been revived as a cultural hiking route.
In three daily stages, the mule track leads from Brig to the Simplon Pass and to Gondo. Experience the contrasts of the Stockalperweg: extensive larch forests, flowering alpine roses, herds of cows, lonely valleys, rushing mountain streams, the national road.
You travel with a daypack, your luggage is transported for you from accommodation to accommodation.
