Description

The postbus takes you comfortably to Visperterminen. You embark on a circular hike along the bisse (irrigation channel) Beitra, which was built in 1440 and carries water from April to the end of September. On the hike you enjoy great views of the Bietschhorn and the Matterhorn. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at the restaurant Rothorn. The tour continues by postbus down to the St. Jodern winery, where you will get to know the local wines, such as Heida, during a guided wine tasting. The fine wines are accompanied by regional culinary specialities. At the end of the tour, you will set off from the winery along the historic Valais dry stone walls on the educational wine trail, where you will learn fascinating facts about the local wine culture. The trail - which is a little exposed at the beginning, but very safe and accessible - takes you down to Visp, from where you can catch your train home.
