
On Saturday at 9.45 am, your Vinabus welcomes you at Martigny station for your thematic weekend dedicated to the discovery of the Valaisan grape varieties, the work of the vine in the bottle and the wines that are made from them. In Fully, Anne Carron-Bender, a professional local guide, passionate about the history of her canton and its vineyards, will introduce you to the history of the Valais wine region during a two-hour walk. She will introduce you to the Petite Arvine, the emblematic grape variety of the area.
At noon, you enjoy a meal based on regional products in the restaurant Le Chavalard of the Slow Food Cooks' Alliance. Then, Slow Wine winemakers introduce you to Humagne Rouge (Cave Le Bosset) or an own speciality (Reto Muller) in Leytron and Johannisberg at Comby Vins in Chamoson. You end the day with a good meal at the Restaurant A Table of the Ibis Style Hotel in Sierre where you are staying.
On Sunday, you head to Salquenen for new discoveries on the theme of wine. Around midday, your tour ends at the Château de Vaas in Flanthey where you are presented with Cornalin, the emblematic wine of Flanthey and served a cold plate of local products for lunch. Your bus then drives you to Sierre train station from where you return home enriched with a broad knowledge of Valaisan vineyards and wines.
