Alpage du Tronc

More than 80 Hérens cows graze on this two-hundred-year-old alpine pasture, high above the municipality of Vollèges. Delicious raw-milk cheese is made here, and special attention is paid to the maturation process to create a wide palette of flavours. You can watch important regional events like the “inalpe” cattle drive up to the summer pastures and the “combat des reines” cow fights or visit the Etiez cheese dairy and enjoy a tasting of the best local products.
