Bisse du Torrent-Neuf
Built before 1430, the Suone of Torrent-Neuf or Suone of Savièse was once the boldest irrigation project of its kind. It was sourced from the Morge, leaving the river’s gorge by a very precipitous and undulating route, and it provided an abundant supply of water. Our suggested walk covers a distance of 2.4 km along an elevated path which has been newly restored. The purpose of this type of refurbishment work is to remind us of the scope of the task undertaken by our ancestors.
