The Jean-René Germanier winery stands proudly among the vineyards at Balavaud, at the entrance to the municipality of Vétroz. The estate covers an area of nearly 60 hectares and produces about 700,000 bottles of wine a year. The flagship grape variety in Vétroz is Amigne, which occupies a special place among the winery’s wide variety of wines. Visitors can also taste brandy made from Williams pears, distilled by the estate since 1945. Enthusiasts can explore the winery’s specialities at a tasting in the impressive vaulted cellar, which dates back a couple of centuries.
