Bisse de Clavau

Surrounded by enormous drystone walls, it is used for spray-irrigation of the vineyards of Ayent, Grimisuat and Sion. The footpath allows walkers to follow the old route with its corbelled structures, overhanging sections supported by wooden girders and a short tunnel; local produce can be sampled at several stalls along the way.

At the Valais Bisses museum, you will learn about the history, construction and socio-cultural meaning of these old aqueducts; or head for the museum garden to try your hand at operating a bisse made of “bazots and tretschbord” – a wooden channel and a special type of wall. Combine your visit to the museum with a stroll on a magnificent marked footpath alongside three bisses where you’ll discover the wooden channels of Torrent-Croix and the Bitailla distributors.

The paragliding school is very active both in winter and summer. Instructors give lessons leading to paraglider pilot's licence exams, training courses and tandem flights. The excellent thermal conditions attract many paragliding enthusiasts.

Grand Bisse d'Ayent

The Grand Bisse d'Ayent brings water to the meadows and vineyards of Ayent and Grimisuat, either in the traditional manner or by more modern techniques, and it flows into the Revouire Pond. Examples of old building methods have been restored along its course, including corbelled structures in the Lienne valley, girders of the special type known as “boutsets” at Torrent-Croix, and the Follés walkway, built into a ledge at a breathtaking height.

The Nautilus offers several indoor activities such as Prison Island (a sort of Fort Boyard 2.0), the Jules Verne Game Bar (a bar with more than 700 board games), Captain Nemo's Cabin (a private room with Karaoke), Studio HENIGMA Adventures (an intersection between an original immersive adventure and a murder party), Journey to the Center of the Earth (Anzère, 12 brainstorming cubes to be solved in 1 hour) and the Gun Golf Club (13 holes, 12 shots).

It’s not just children whose eyes light up at the sight of 64 metres of banked curves, moguls and rollers. More experienced riders can even try jumps, as it is easy to build up speed on the track. And after all that exertion, the cafés and restaurants around the village square make for an inviting pit stop.

The climb to Tseuzier Dam, which rises to 1777 metres of altitude, starts in Sion and is about 22 kilometres long. From the Valais vineyards to the lake of Tseuzier, this itinerary offers a panoramic view that is breathtaking at every moment .Along the whole climb, special signs have been erected to mark the route.

Anzère

Anzère is equipped with 13 different installations, 1 cable car, 4 chair lifts, 7 T-bar lifts, 3 conveyor carpets, a boardercross and a Flypark, covering 58 kilometres of the ski resort. 11 kilometres of the slopes are covered by 120 snow cannons. There is a special ski lift and a magic carpet for children and beginners in the center of the village. 6 km of ski itinerary (marked out and not tamped) are at your disposal.

Anzère Touring Track

This ski touring itinerary offers a choice of two departure options: either from the beginning of the Route des Mayens du Gô, near the Bonnefille free car park, or from the gondola lift car park. It then crosses the forest road to a locality called "La Brune". From there, you leave the groomed route to follow a track that takes you directly to the Pas de Maimbré by the Bordet ridge.
