Bright red, intensely fragrant and picked when ripe, Valais strawberries are packed with Alpine sunshine. Cultivated in the Rhône valley for over a century, they benefit from a dry, sunny climate that promotes the development of powerful aromas. Thanks to staggered planting, the Valais strawberry season runs from late May to early July, with some varieties available until autumn. Gariguette, Clery, Arosa, Mara des Bois... each variety has its own unique personality, ranging from sweet and mild to slightly tart and refreshing.
