Bodmen Woodland Winter Trail

Leading through a snowy forest between Saas-Almagell and Saas-Fee, the Bodmen Woodland Winter Trail is as fun as it is beautiful.

Das Ziel ins Sicht: das winterliche Saas-Almagell - Saastal Tourismus AG

This is the perfect trail for those seeking a walk in a peaceful, relaxed environment. Along the way, you’ll pass close to the Waldhüs Bodmen Restaurant with its own indoor petting zoo - a perfect stop when walking with kids. Additionally, the trail offers a number of spectacular views over Saas-Grund, the Saas Valley and the pyramid peaks of the Bietschhorn. The trail also forms part of the Tour du Mont Rose circuit.

Turn-by-turn directions

The trail begins at the Postplatz in Saas-Fee. From here, head for the panoramic bridge and the lower Alpin Express station. Once over the bridge, take the north-eastern fork and follow the tar road. After a slight incline, continue along a wide woodland path, passing Waldhüs Bodmen restaurant, until you reach the outskirts of Saas-Almagell. From the village square, you can either catch the post bus back to Saas-Fee or continue on foot to Saas-Grund and Saas-Fee.
