This circuit tour for the whole family begins at the heart of the village, initially taking you past the Hannigalp valley station. After a short climb on a gravel road, the tour makes its first descent, flowing down to the idyllic Z’Seew mountain lake, which provides a welcome opportunity to take a break and cool off – particularly on hot summer days. Reinvigorated, you now head up to the Äbnet junction, then take the broad trail to the Bärgji-Alp and Jägerstube restaurants, where you can stop for refreshments in pleasant surroundings. The Barrhorn stands out amongst the three-thousand-metre peaks that line up opposite as the highest snow-free summit in Europe that is accessible to hikers. There is a comfortable trail leading from the Grächen Bärgji valley station back to the starting point in Grächen. You can also take the varied and flowing enduro trail from Titter down to Kalpetran. The tour can also connect with the Zermatt-Visp trail (No. 150).
