Alpage de la Louère

Perched at an altitude of 2,160 metres above Mase, the La Louère mountain hut offers an authentic experience in the heart of the Val d’Hérens. Accessible after a hike or by car, it charms visitors with its panoramic terrace and unspoilt setting, where marmots, chamois and other Alpine animals can sometimes be spotted. Here you can enjoy simple, hearty cuisine, entirely based on alpine produce: raclette cheese, tomme, sérac, butter and cream, as well as fondues, cheese tarts and specialities from the Valais region. The produce is made on site, in keeping with local farming traditions.
