Trail running camp – intermediate level in Morgins
Description
In the magnificent Valais setting, under the majestic gaze of the Dents du Midi and in the heart of Morgins, experience an exceptional trail running weekend designed for experienced runners seeking progress and personal challenge. A complete sporting immersion to push your limits and refine every aspect of your performance.
From Friday to Sunday, you will join a select group of a maximum of 12 participants. This camp is intended for runners who regularly run around 15 km and who want to improve their technique, optimize their effort management, and refine their race strategy in mountainous terrain.
After your arrival on Friday at 3:00 pm at Hotel Helvetia in Morgins, you will head out for a “shake-out” run, ideal for discovering the terrain and creating the first team dynamic. Upon returning: recovery at the spa, followed by an authentic meal adapted to the needs of trail runners. You will then review the next day’s route before enjoying a restorative night in your hotel room.
On Saturday, after an energy-boosting breakfast, you will set off on a route of approximately 25 km with 1,800 m of elevation gain. A full day in the mountains to work on distance, effort management, and uphill and downhill technique. Back at the hotel: snack, relaxation at the spa and, optionally, a 30-minute massage or an e-bike ride to optimize recovery. You will then enjoy a well-deserved hearty dinner before continuing with a themed evening dedicated to trail running: specific nutrition, injury prevention, equipment strategy, and experience sharing.
On Sunday, a 20 km run (1,500 m of elevation gain) will take you to a mountain restaurant to enjoy local alpine flavors. The return to Morgins will round off the day before the camp concludes in the mid-afternoon.

Good physical condition is essential: participants must be used to runs of at least 15 km with 1,200 m of elevation gain.
