Description
Forget lions, giraffes and penguins: in the Valais version of Noah's Ark, we're taking a Hérens cow, a black-necked goat and Barry the Saint Bernard. Three exceptional specimens, carved from wood.
Here, there's no need for hay or pasture: these animals are content with a corner on a shelf and a little admiration.
The cow commands respect, the goat watches over the others and Barry is ready to leap to your rescue with the wisdom of an old mountain dweller.
Together, they form the official Valais living room fauna. Not very noisy, fortunately not very mobile but immensely endearing.
And if the flood comes (or it’s simply time to redecorate), you'll know who to save first.
