Description
Two cable cars will get you from the valley to Riederalp-Bettmeralp’s sunny plateaux. The first goes from the bottom Bettmeralp station to Bettmeralp, a vehicle-free village located at nearly 2,000 metres above sea level.
Once in Bettmeralp, take the eight-seater gondola up to Bettmerhorn, where a panoramic platform offers a unique view of the curve of the Aletsch glacier.
The region is ideal for hiking enthusiasts and has many highlights, such as the Bettmersee, the Villa Cassel, the magnificent Maria Zum Schnee chapel and photo spots on the Grand Tour of Switzerland.
