Description
Set off on an adventure in the Salentze gorges with a helmet and harness hired from the Saillon tourist office.
The Via Farinetta has been designed to delight sports enthusiasts and lovers of nature and climbing. Traced through the Salentze gorges, this Via Ferrata showcases the natural and cultural resources of Sailllon and Leytron, from the famous Giant's Head to the Farinet footbridge.
The route is around one kilometre long and has a vertical drop of 330 metres, making it particularly demanding. This via ferrrata has three sections of increasing difficulty: the first section is rated fairly difficult (AD+), while the second, more aerial and physical, is rated difficult (D+). A third section, rated extremely difficult, requires advanced physical skills to overcome the overhangs and slopes that make it up. You can leave the Via Ferrata after each section.
