Description
The Belvédère via ferrata, located in the commune of Mont-Noble, 19 minutes from Sion, was created in 2000. Located on the west face of the Nax rock, at a place called Belvédère, it is accessible to all. Both fun and aerial, it happily attracts both mountain enthusiasts and thrill-seeking holidaymakers. An educational trail along the entire length of the route awaits you. The via ferrata requires only a simple technique, with handling kept to a minimum. As soon as it was created, it was immediately taken up by many climbing enthusiasts, most of whom fell under the spell of the via ferrata's design. If you're lucky, you'll be able to spot the peregrine falcon. The peregrine falcon, which nests on the north face of the Piton de Nax, also appreciates the panoramic views. A rare species, it deserves to be protected : there are only around twenty pairs of peregrine falcons in the Valais. Finally, from the via ferrata, you will be ideally placed to observe the strange reclining Naxard, which according to legend gave its name to the village of Nax.
