Description

Meet the stars of the cow fights on their summer pastures and discover the secrets of the making of the famous raclette cheese.

Throughout the summer, once a week, you have the opportunity to go to the Balavaux mountain pasture, located in the region of Isérables, to discover the different steps in the making of raclette cheese and the daily life of the cheesemaker and the cow herdsmen.

A visit to the cheese cellar and a short tour to observe the cows of the Hérens breed on their pasture are also organized. This is followed by breakfast at the Balavaux cabin with a tasting session of the local cheese.

The meeting point is at Nendaz Tourisme; then travel to Balavaux with your private car. An guide accompanies you throughout the morning.
