Description

Two authentic experiences to immerse yourself in the flavours and ancestral crafts of Val d’Anniviers.

Set off on a sensory journey that combines hiking, outdoor cooking, and Valaisan culinary heritage. With this combo package, you’ll enjoy the best of both worlds: authentic tastes and time-honoured traditions.

Fondue on the Go – Your Meal Becomes an Adventure

Book your fondue kit online or at a tourist office, and pick it up from one of our partner shops in Chandolin, St-Luc, Zinal, or Grimentz. The kit includes everything you need: cheese, bread, wine (or apple juice), aperitif sausage, stove, fondue pot, cutlery, souvenir glasses, and a hiking guide.

Choose a walk, head into nature, and stop wherever inspires you to prepare your fondue. A delicious, unique moment in the open air. When you're done, simply return the equipment to the shop.

Participants: min. 2, max. 12 people

Bake Your Own Rye Bread – A Step into the Past

Continue your immersion with a rye bread baking workshop in a historic communal oven in Grimentz or St-Luc. With expert guidance, you’ll learn how this durable bread – a staple of traditional alpine life – was made to last for months. Leave with your own loaf and a slice of local history.

Schedule by season:

  • Winter: Fridays in Grimentz and Tuesdays in St-Luc (4:00–6:00 PM)

  • Summer: Thursdays in Grimentz (5:00–7:00 PM) and Tuesdays in St-Luc (4:00–6:00 PM)
