Fam Trip Glacier Bike Tour
The Glacier Bike Tour is a ten-stage e-bike route from St. Moritz to Zermatt via the canton of Uri, following the railway line of the Glacier Express.
Purpose
The aim of the Fam Trip is to enable travel providers to become more closely acquainted with this unique bookable e-mountain bike experiences and to create all the conditions for these to be included in their travel program, thus enabling their clients to book and experience them.
Target group and target market
These Fam Trips are intended for international tour operators of Europe and Nord America, whose client base is interested in e-mountain bike experience.
Technical MTB skills
The terrain of the Glacier Bike Tour is varied. Most of it on asphalt and gravel, yet there are (easy) singletrack sections. The technical level, therefore, is low for experienced mountain bikers, yet for classic touring cyclists it might be high. You should be accustomed to mountainous terrain, so you feel comfortable on e.g. steep passages and narrow paths.
Mountain biker type
The Glacier Bike Tour was specially developed for e-bike tourers who want to combine a sporting experience with the enjoyment of nature and culture, the country and its people. The route of 370 km and 9500 vertical meters leads over gravel, asphalt and occasionally narrow paths.
